Top Things from 2024

Cats who aren’t trying to kill each other

It’s a long story but Tilly and Saru couldn’t stand each other for the longest time, we had to keep them separated at all times for almost a year, it was a whole exhausting thing. But one very long complicated and incremental process later now they can just be out and don’t try to kill each other. The other night they both slept on the bed! At the same time! This is the life.

Cold weather

This was the year I finally and firmly flipped for cold weather. I will now officially take 20 degrees F over 70 degrees F any old day. All my favorite clothes are cold weather clothes and my shit is curated. I know, just in time for winter to no longer be a thing on this planet but still.

Scootering and/or Biking

I already wrote a bunch about this but there were so many days this year I was so thankful to be in the bike line and not stuck in traffic. This is the way.

Uptown Girls (2003)

I saw this for the first time this year and it was hands down my favorite movie of the year no offense to whatever other new movies I saw. A classic!

TV Throuples

Evil (S4) swam so that Doctor Odyssey could sail. Evil ended as it began, my favorite show that you’re probably not watching. Doctor Odyssey: absolutely unhinged, the perfect show for the end of civilization.

Ketchup on Eggs

Total accident but this one clicked for me this year. I was in NYC and wanted breakfast from the local bodega but couldn’t decide what, and the guy in front of me ordered an egg & sausage on a roll so I was like Hell yeah and ordered the same thing. And it came with ketchup! Which I did not order or want! But then I ate it and was like Holy shit are you serious. Can’t eat eggs without ketchup now, it’s so incredibly fucked up.

Absolutely came through this year.
