Just a quick note to document my latest obsession. Miss Me? is a podcast with Lily Allen (singer, actress, soon to be ex-wife of David Harbour, we are not Team David Harbour in this house.) and Miquita Oliver, British presenter.
(Aside: ever since I started watching Taskmaster I am learning that about 85% of people in Britain are employed as a “presenter.” What is the deal. We don’t have that here, do we?)
Lily & Miquita have been friends since they were young, both grew up in difficult situations with semi-famous parents (Miquita’s mom was in a band that appeared on The Young Ones! Plus her aunt is Neneh Cherry!). Half of the episodes are just them catching up and talking about what’s going on in their lives, sharing stories from when they were young. The other half is answering questions from listeners, which I normally don’t care for, but their producers pick pretty interesting questions that are more like “was there ever a time you X”, not “please give me advice”. (Podcast advice needs to die in a terrible fire.)
Anyways it’s funny and relaxing, they’re great hosts, they share really openly about stuff they’re going/have gone through, personally I love it.
